Richmond’s Tavern is hosting a Super Bowl Party to benefit Pitty Love Rescue

(Rochester, NY) – On Sunday, February 3, 2013, Richmond’s Tavern goes to the dogs when they host a Super Bowl Party to benefit local dog organization, Pitty Love Rescue.

Two puppies from this local pit bull rescue group will appear in Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl IX”, airing during the Super Bowl halftime. Two more Pitty Love puppies will star in a Subaru commercial airing during the Puppy Bowl.

To celebrate these local pups’ national television debut and aid Pitty Love in its mission to rescue, rehab and rehome dogs, Richmond’s Tavern will donate a portion of the bar sales during the party to Pitty Love Rescue, with special thanks to sponsor Three Heads Brewing.

The Super Bowl Party will be hosted by Sports 1280 WHTK’s John DiTullio and his show’s cast. Pitty Love will hold a 50/50 raffle, and partygoers will also have a chance to win a special piece of dog-themed jewelry, courtesy of Trilliant Jewelers in Irondequoit. Marty’s Meats, on scene at Richmond’s every Sunday with their famous gourmet food truck, will be serving a special Super Bowl menu.

And yes, there will be puppies at the party!

The Super Bowl will be shown on TVs upstairs and downstairs in the bar, and at half time some of the TVs will switch over to Animal Planet to cheer on our local rescue pups in the Puppy Bowl.

The fun starts at 5:30 at Richmond’s Tavern, 21 Richmond Street in Rochester, NY. For more information and to link to Richmond’s on Facebook, visit www.RichmondsTavern.com.
